Flow is a lightweight, comprehensive game framework inspired by Knit's structure and syntax. My goal in creating this framework is to provide a highly modular kit that significantly enhances development cycles for Roblox projects. Currently, I am refining the framework and actively using it across several ongoing projects.
Night Falls is an event-driven horror game I developed, handling Programming and Game design, with @MrThorRBX handling 3D Art. Featuring 29 unique events and dynamically occurring scenarios, such as a power outage during a thunderstorm, it offers players diverse, eerie experiences.
A primarily solo project I published to Roblox that has surpassed 3.5 million plays, 17.3 thousand favorites and 4.6 thousand positive reviews.
These images include some game art for the project. Additionally, a screenshot of the game's public page highlights notable statistics, with over 17.3 thousand favorites, 3.5 million plays, and 4.6 thousand positive reviews. It also garnered some considerable attention on social media platforms such as YouTube. It's worth noting too, that around release, the game achieved ~2,000 concurrent users.
As the lead developer and publisher of this project, I took on the roles of programming all systems, designing the gameplay and UI, and handling the game's marketing. While I outsourced 3D assets and game art, this project was a significant solo programming and design endeavor for me. It proved to be an incredible journey of growth and learning, marking a milestone as my first major solo project.
A collaborative project published to Roblox that has surpassed 2.7 million plays, 22.9 thousand favorites and 4.2 thousand positive reviews.
These images feature the game art for this project. Additionally, a screenshot of the game's public page highlights impressive statistics, with over 22.9 thousand favorites, 2.7 million plays, and 4.2 thousand positive reviews at the time of the screenshot. To provide further context on its reach, I've attached an image of the YouTube results when searching the game's name.
As the lead developer and publisher of this project, I collaborated with a three-person development team. While my primary focus was on game design, UI design, and marketing, I also actively contributed to programming. This project, another significant learning experience, marked my first successful game release for a project started from conception. It served as a valuable opportunity for growth and achievement in my development journey.
An ambitious and collaborative MOBA project that I worked on during my internship with Roblox.
The above attachments include images of the pre-match lobby where players gather. Additionally, you'll find concept art featuring the magic warriors that players embody in-game.
Kingdom Khaos represented an ambitious undertaking that I spearheaded with a team that grew to eight people throughout production. The project was built with approximately 150,000 lines of code, incorporating multiple interconnected and complex frameworks to run the game. My primary roles included technical design, task delegation, and general project management. Although Kingdom Khaos did not ship due to substantial scope creep and technical challenges, the experience proved invaluable. I gained extensive knowledge on production, leadership, and avoiding common pitfalls in the development process.
A small solo project created to hone areas of game development I don't engage in as often.
These attachments feature project's game art, along with a screenshot showcasing an earlier level in the obstacle course involving disappearing platforms.
Obby Legends is a relatively simple game I designed and developed. With approximately 33 thousand lines of code and the creation of 100 carefully designed levels, this project was a great learning experience. I had a lot of fun with designing and implementing satisfying feedback for player actions across the obstacle course.
A collaborative and shipped project with members from my Roblox internship team.
These attachments include images of the game art, along with a screenshot featuring one of the many pets near the main lobby area in-game.
For Monster Race, I collaborated with a team of three under the mentorship of one of my teammates from the Roblox internship. In this project, my main focus was on programming modular back-end systems. Throughout the development process, I gained valuable experience using new open-source frameworks, which significantly enhanced our ability to bring our ideas to life more effectively.
